"Little Bitty Pretty One" is a rock'n'roll song written and originally recorded by Bobby Day, and popularized by Thurston Harris in 1957. His version reached # 6 on the U.S.Billboard Hot 100.
It has most notably been covered by Frankie Lymon in 1958, Clyde McPhatter in 1962, the Jackson Five in 1972, Cliff Richard in 1983, Huey Lewis and the News in 1994, and Billy Gilman in 2000.
The song has also been covered by The Doobie Brothers and has become a crowd favourite at their shows.
The song has made appearances in ads, television and films, including the following:
- A commercial for Lipton Green Iced Tea
- The British television serial Lipstick on your collar.
- The films Matilda by Danny DeVito (see article) , Christine (and its soundtrack), Corrine,Corrina, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
