WALES or CYMRU
We talked about
Wales last October when we studied the real
King Arthur.
King Arthur was Welsh. He was born in 465 in
South Wales, in a province called
Dyfed.
He fought many battles and was very courageous. He won 12 great battles against the Saxons. People thought he was invincible, but he wasn't. He died in a battle in 542.
Wales is a
Celtic country. Its capital city is
Cardiff.
