The Boondocks is an American animated television series created by Aaron McGruder and based upon McGruder's comic strip of the same name.
The Boondocks is
a social satire of African-American culture, race relations and stereotypes in the world.
It tells the story of the lives of the Freeman family which is composed of :
- ten-year-old
Huey who is the main character,
- his younger brother, eight-year-old
Riley,
-and their grandfather,
Robert.

Huey and his brother Riley who both grew up on the south side of Chicago, were moved to the peaceful, predominately white suburb of Woodcrest by their grandfather.
