Here's the Halloween song we've listened to in class today :
Credits to: Taklit/Kids' Factory Music

I'm a spider on your head,
I'm a skeleton in your bed,
One, two, three, four,
I'm a spider on your head,
I'm a skeleton in your bed.

Hello, hello,
Goodbye, goodbye,
Happy Halloween.

I'm a cat on your head,
I'm a ghost in your bed,
one, two, three, four,
I'm a cat on your head,
I'm a ghost in your bed.

Hello, hello,
Goodbye, goodbye,
Happy Halloween.

I'm a witch on your head,
I'm a pumpkin in your bed,
One, two, three, four,
I'm a witch on your head,
I'm a pumpkin in your bed.

Hello, hello,
Goodbye, goodbye,
Happy Halloween.

Here's the song we listened to and sang in class yesterday. I'm glad you liked it.

Can you sing ? Yes, I can.

Can you paint ? Yes, I can.

Can you play your sister's drums ?

No, I can't. No, I can't.

Can she swim ? Yes, she can.

Can she dance ? Yes, she can.

Can she fly her uncle's plane ?

No, she can't. No, she can't.

Can they read ? Yes, they can.

Can they write ? Yes, they can.

Can they ride their father's bike ?

No, they can't. No, they can't.

Can you skate ? Yes, we can.

Can you draw ? Yes, we can.

Can you drive your mother's car ?

No, we can't. No, we can't.

Does your voice go up or down at the end of the questions ?

Head and shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes,

Head and shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes,

And eyes and ears and mouth and nose,

Head and shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes.

Don't forget to touch your head, shoulders... while singing !

Today we are studying( and singing !) Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head.

It is a song written by Hal David and Burt Bacharach for the 1969 film Butch Cassidy and the Kid, with Robert Redford and Paul Newman.

http://www.thecinemasource.com

The film won an Academy award for Best Original song.

The song was originally sung by  B.J. Thomas, an American popular singer known for his chart-topping hits in the 1960s and 1970s.

Then, in 1971, Sacha Distel sang it as well. His French version "Toute la pluis tombe sur moi"  was a hit in the UK and in France.

The song was later played in Spiderman2 in 2004 and later still in Alvin and the Chipmunks in 2007.

Here's the video:

The lyrics are on page 64, Enjoy English in 5e.

Is it an optimistic or pessimistic song?

Yes, you're right. It is an optimistic song.
