Displays of fireworks over the Washington Monument

Independence Day, commonly known as the Fouth of July is a national holiday in the USA.


It celebrates the adoption of  the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776 declaring independence from the United Kingdom of Great Britain.

Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, picnics, concerts, carnivals and political speeches and ceremonies celebrating the history, government and traditions of the United States of America.
